Abstract

Deviation from the covenant is an ancient Jewish history. Due to the historical rebellion and apostasy of the Jews, they can be called habitual offenders of rebellion and apostasy. They have always made their own desires their God and mentor. They never surrendered to the religion of God Almighty. The Almighty had promised the Jews to abide by the Book and the Shari'ah, and to renew and remind them of this covenant, the Almighty sent many of His Messengers and Prophets one by one, but the Jews rejected them against their wishes. The ancient history of the Jews is replete with incidents in which they denied the apostles, deviated from their teachings, persecuted them, and even killed them. Allah Almighty mentions the long stories of the Jews in the Qur'an and mentions their logical termination so that the believers may know that the punishment for turning away from the truth is to be meted out and also warned the Muslim Ummah not to follow their path.
