Abstract

One of the important issue in the science of hadith is the addition of Thiqa (trusted narrators) in the text or chain of narrators of a hadith which means that some Thiqa narrators narrates a hadith in one form but others add something or bring change in the text or chain of narrators of that particular Hadith.

There are two types of addition of thiqa. first is the addition in chain of narrators of hadith and second is the addition in the text of hadith. In addition of evidence the chain of narrators is reached to a companion of prophet SAW which is called Hadith Mawqof but other narrators ends the chain of narrators with Prophet SAW itself which is called hadith Marfoo.

In second type of addition of evidence is some narrators, skipping some of companion of prophet SAW, directly end the chain of narrators on the Prophet SAW but others reach to prophet SAW through the proper chain of all narrators.

Third type of addition of evidence is that a narrator narrates with missing some of the narrators in the chain but others narrates with full chain of narrators without missing any narrator. Forth is that the chain of narrators is connected but a narrator is added between the mentor and the narrator. this called the addition in the connected chain of narrators.

In this article there is comprehensive discussion regarding the differences of scholars of Hadith and Fiqh in the authenticity of addition of Thiqa which most of the scholars view as authentic and use them in discussions.
