A Critical Study of Deeni Madaris and their curriculum

Abstract

  Deeni Madaaris played a vital role in promotion of Islamic sciences as dominated centers of all Muslim societies as well as in Subcontinent. Unfortunately there are some misconceptions which have been established throughout the world from last decades. Besides these extraneous elements, there is also a desire for a change, coming from Madaris themselves which should welcome by the concerning bodies. In this sense it is needed to present the real picture of Deeni Madaaris regarding their historical background, curriculum and environment to assess and evaluate their contribution towards fulfillment of their foundation purpose.The present paperprovides a brief list ofsuggested reforms in DeeniMadaris in Pakistan as well.
