The Selection Criteria of Welfare State’s Officers in the Light of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH)

Abstract
Social, Political and Economic growth of a state is based on its officers. Competent officers lead the state up to the mark very fast by solving its problems efficiently while the incompetent officers harm the state socially, politically and economically and accordingly destroy the peace of state.
In Islam, merit is necessary in selection of officers. It considers the selection of ineligible person as betrayal with ALLAH, Prophet and the Muslims.
Islam gives the criteria for eligibility of an officer. Some important qualities are as under;
An Officer should be honest in financial matters, well-wisher of whole public, consultant in important matters of state, softener for public, facilitator for his colleagues and public, justice in all matters, capable of his own opinion to solve the problems, calm, behavior with public as he behave with himself, capable of dealing the public problems immediately and promoter of merit.
We can solve our many problems of state and public by adopting the above-mentioned criteria in selection of Officers.
