This study presents a thematic and analytical examination of Surah Al A'raf, with a particular focus on the prophetic narratives and the doctrine of Tawheed (Oneness of Allah). The research analyzes the accounts of six Prophets Adam, Nuh, Hud, Salih, Lut, and Shuayb (peace be upon them) as presented in the Surah, highlighting how each prophet conveyed the same foundational call to monotheism to their respective communities. The study employs qualitative textual analysis, drawing upon classical tafsir literature including Ibn Kathir's Tafsir al-Qur'an al-Azim, Al-Tabari's Jami' al-Bayan, Al-Razi's Mafatih al Ghayb, and Al-Qurtubi's Al-Jami' li-Ahkam al-Qur'an. The conceptual framework identifies Tawheed as the central variable, against which shirk, rejection, and misguidance function as secondary variables. The findings reveal a consistent Qur'anic pattern: invitation to Tawheed, human response (acceptance or rejection), and resulting consequences (guidance or punishment). The study further demonstrates that rejection of prophetic guidance was consistently rooted in arrogance, blind adherence to tradition, and material self-interest as evident in the pride of 'Ad, the defiance of Thamud, the moral corruption of the people of Lut, and the economic dishonesty of the people of Madyan. The research concludes that these narratives are not merely historical accounts but carry timeless relevance, offering moral and social guidance applicable to contemporary societies.
