ABSTRACT
This study explores the origins and dynamics of vengeful behaviors and Prophetic practices for their resolution and transformation. Retaliatory attitudes, influenced by psychological, social, cultural, and environmental factors, often manifest in anger, vengeance, and prolonged conflicts, which may undermine personal relationships and societal harmony. The research identifies the root causes of such behaviors, including moods of injustice, lack of emotional regulation, and societal pressures. It explores how the Message of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) can be tapped to discuss issues effectively.
The timeless prophetic methodology found in mercy, patience, and justice principles can mitigate negative tendencies and promote reconciliation. Major strategies in the Seerah-the biography of the Prophet-could be the promotion of forgiveness, grievance resolution using wisdom, cultivation of empathy, and provision of justice to prevent hostility from arising again. Historic examples involving the Prophet's responses to individual attacks, tribal hostilities, and conflicts within the early Muslim community will be analyzed to explain the practical applications of these beliefs.
Besides, the study connects historical teachings with current issues. It shows how the Prophetic approach can solve modern problems like interpersonal conflict, social unrest, and community polarization. Prophetic methodology not only discusses immediate causes of retaliatory behavior but also lays down a long-term foundation for peace and harmony in society through caring for a culture of understanding, compassion, and proactive conflict resolution. This research points out the importance and relevance of the Prophetic model as a direct framework for folks, families, and communities pursuing to overcome reactive attitudes and begin a more just and consistent social fabric.
