Abstract

Abstract:
This study critically examines the differing views of Maulana Wahid Uddin Khan and Javed Ahmad Ghamidi regarding jihad and relationships with non-Muslims. Their perspectives have sparked considerable scholarly debate, as they deviate from traditional Islamic teachings and the consensus of classical scholars. The primary aim of this research is to analyse their viewpoints in the context of the Qur'an, Sunnah, and historical practices, assessing their influence on the understanding of Islamic principles.

By exploring these opinions, the study highlights how they may contribute to misconceptions about jihad and interfaith relations. It underscores the necessity of adhering to traditional teachings to address modern ideological challenges effectively. Ultimately, this research seeks to provide clarity on the topic and encourage a balanced understanding of jihad that aligns with established Islamic principles. Through this analysis, it aims to foster dialogue and reflection on the role of jihad in contemporary society, promoting peaceful coexistence while remaining true to Islamic teachings.
