Islam places significant importance on worship (Ibadaat), with each act of worship having specific methods and times. However, individuals may face challenges in performing these acts due to illnesses or other conditions. Sharia law offers accommodations to ensure that worship remains accessible under such circumstances. A crucial question arises when patients need to take medication: how does medication intake affect their ability to perform acts of worship such as Prayer (Salah), Fasting (Sawm), Hajj, and Umrah?
This study provides a comprehensive understanding of the impact of medical treatment on Islamic worship practices. It explores how various medications might influence a person's ability to fulfill religious obligations and discusses Sharia-based Rukhsah available to those who are ill.
