Abstract

Since proteins are considered to be an essential part of the human body, people will always choose foods high in protein in order to stay strong and energetic. Meat is the most significant food that is high in protein among the rest of the foods. However, as time went on and population density rose, there was higher demand for meat than there was supply. The production of lab-grown meat began in order to meet this demand. What does Shariah ruling in this regard, and how does a Muslim use this meat? These are important questions that Muslim communities worldwide discuss and ask Islamic Scholars extensively.
The primary objective of this paper is to discuss several types of lab-grown meat, their constituent parts, a review of various Fataws, and academic opinions in light of Shariah.
