Abstract

From the commencement of humanity onwards there was a dire need of every period to develop the personality according to the requirements of that specific era. In modern times, it is a scientific and well thought area of research and knowledge. Islam as the final testament of God and a complete code of life, represents a complete and comprehensive model of personality development. This paper primarily depicts core Islamic injunctions in this regards and their implications in present age. Applying content analysis method. this paper reflects that scholars from Muslim background and vice versa has elaborated personality development models with proper details as per need, but Islam as a divine wisdom resolves all human problems through its commandments of both theory and practice. The study concludes that by following the Islamic model of personality development, one can strive his best to achieve the success in this world and in the world hereafter in true letter and spirit.
