An Analytical study of the protection of the rights of minorities in the Manifesto of Pakistani Religious Political Parties

Abstract

The constitution of Pakistan guarantees equal rights to minorities. The charter of Madina (Misaq e Madina) - the constitution of first Islamic state also provides a detail of the minority rights. Following these precedents political religious parties of Pakistan also include provisions about minority rights in the manifestos of their parties. On the other hand international media and some civil society organizations criticize the political religious parties for their point of view about the minority rights in Pakistan. This research article will provide an analytical study of the real stance of political religious parties of Pakistan about rights of minorities in the light of their manifestos.
