Abstract

Islam is the only rule of law which has addressed the rights for women in detail. There are so many laws & guidelines in Islam which are specified for men to follow only and women are not liable to abide by these laws because Islam respects the feelings and emotions of women and give preference to these issues in this regard, Islam has devised several laws which emphasizes on the respect of women for example, Islam encourages educating women so much, that it has a devised a separate education facility for women in order to keep the peace of mind and confidence in education. Contemporary traditions prevalent in Muslim world regarding women are mostly in contradiction to Islamic teaching and because of this few people who dislike Islamic, criticizes Islamic being religion of hardship for women. This research study is based on the above-mentioned problem and it mention the rights of women in the light of Islamic teaching and what are the contradictory behaviors Muslim societies have adopted.
