Abstract

This paper discusses various trends in comparative study of Islamic law and some methodological implications of its development. Different Islamic jurisprudence has developed over fourteen centuries. Over that span of time, various schools of jurisprudence have emerged, each with its own interpretation and application of the Sharia. This paper attempts to address the question how a balance approach may be developed in various schools of thought to collaborate between scholars from different parts of the world.
. Due to complicated contemporary issues and changes in custom and usage, it is difficult to resolve the issues by a school of thought. comparative study of Islamic law may help to resolve such kind of complicated issues. The conclusions will set out some of the issues that may be important for further comparative studies.
